How will these workshops benefit me?
These workshops are created to provide for all Sony customers an avenue to expand their knowledge, enjoyment and appreciation for Sony’s products. While some of our products share similar features as other brands, there are many that are exclusively Sony’s. Our priority is to enhance a Sony product user’s exploration of his or her product, as well as providing an opportunity for like-minded users to get together and share ideas, experiences and so on.

What is the teaching method employed in the workshop?
We do not conduct the workshops in a bland teaching style as such. Instead, we provide all workshop participants the opportunity to play around with their Sony products in a very hands-on manner. We provide tips and tricks to guide users along and to enhance the Sony experience. At the end of the workshop, we also give participants the opportunity to test out their skills and win prizes!

How many people will there be in a workshop class?
It depends on the venue, but it will vary between 20 to 30 people at a time – giving you more contact time with the course trainer.

Do I have to purchase the relevant product(s) before I can attend the workshop?
Normally yes – you would need to bring your own equipment. For example, you would need to bring your own Sony Cybershot to a Cybershot workshop. However, if you are attending a workshop empty-handed, please make prior arrangements with us so we may be able to loan you a unit for the day.

Do I require a certain level of competency in the product before I can join the workshop?
No – our courses are tailored for everyone from the complete amateur to seasoned pros.

Can I bring a partner along with me for the course?
Of course – the more the merrier! You can bring either your spouse or a friend. However, it is subject to venue space as some places may not be able to accommodate many people comfortably. Please check with us for more information.
8.
My partner and I have signed up to attend one of the courses together. Will there be an additional camera for us to use?
Yes, an additional camera will be made available, however a different camera model may be loaned to your partner, and not the same model as yours and it is also subject to availability. Please make prior arrangements with us so we may be able to loan you a unit for the day.

How do I make payment for any course that I sign up for?
Payment is made on the spot.
10.
Can I reserve a place on the next workshop?
No, registration is strictly on a first-come-first-served basis. Registration is usually open about a month prior to the workshop date, so sign up early to avoid disappointment.

Can I reschedule my course once I have registered for it?
Refer to above question.
12.
Is all registration done online? Can I register even though I don’t have an e-mail address or a printer?
You can call our Customer Interaction Centre (CIC) to register for our workshops if you are unable to register online. Registration on the spot is not encouraged as there are limited places available and we are not sure if we can accommodate you.
